While in college I started doing a radio show at the college’s radio station (90.7 WCLH). The how and the why isn’t very interesting. After being there a little over a year I somehow managed to finagle my way into the position of Heavy Metal Music Director where I reigned supreme for roughly two and a half years.
Every week I would send out an e-mail with the station’s music charts to all of the reporting agencies, record labels and promotions companies I talked to, it was just one of the many things I would do as part of my job. I’m not entirely sure why but what started off as just my charts slowly turned into a little weekly rant to the music industry about the current state of affairs that was the dark wilderness of my mind.
Here I am about a year later (I graduated in May of 2005) and I realized I missed writing those weekly diatribes on whatever came to me the 10 minutes before I wrote it. So the purpose of this blog is to fill that void. No other loafy goals. In fact I kind of hate blogs so I’m pretty much a hypocrite. I’ll get over it if you will.
